Hello, I'm Uwaila - a Junior Spatial and Interior Designer.

 

My work explores how spaces are experienced over time, and how material choices, light, and layout influence the way people move, feel, and inhabit them. I design spatial projects at a small to medium scale, with an interest in expanding into residential and hospitality spaces.

I’m particularly interested in environments that invite people to stay, engage, and connect with their surroundings, rather than simply pass through them. This interest drives my focus on clarity in design, material honesty, and a more considered approach to how spaces are shaped.

I’m also drawn to collaborative ways of working, where ideas develop through dialogue, testing, and exchange between different disciplines. I’m interested in projects grounded in real contexts, where design is shaped not only by intention, but by how people actually use and experience space.
